What is Counselling? 

Counselling provides an opportunity to explore whatever is troubling you in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential setting, working with a trained counsellor. It provides the time and space you need to discover what is really going on and to find a way forward that suits you. 
What is Counselling useful for? 
 
People find counselling can be useful in a range of problems and situations: 
Grief and loss 
Relationship problems 
Depression 
Worry and anxiety 
Painful or difficult feelings 
Confidence or self esteem 
Coping with external events or difficult relationships 
 
It may be difficult to put into words - you may be feeling overwhelmed, or just very unhappy or stuck, without knowing why - the counselling helps you to find out.

What Happens? 

We will meet together and have a face to face conversation in a calm and confidential setting at an agreed time each week. 
How long will it take? 
 
Each weekly session lasts 50 minutes. Everyone is different, as are our problems, so we may work together for a few weeks or for many months. This is something we will decide together. 
 
Terms and fees for Counselling: 
Each session will cost £40. There are a few concessionary spaces available (£32 and £25) - contact me to discuss these. 
 
About me 
 
I achieved a Higher Diploma in Counselling Practice in 2011. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psycotherapy) and I work according to their code of ethics. I have regular supervision to ensure that my work is of a professional standard.

I became interested in counselling as a result of my work as a homeopath - often I met people who were struggling with different aspects of life and I was not sure how to help them. My training in counselling has shown me how valuable it is to have someone who can listen to our story without judging or telling you what to do, who will walk alongside you as you find the best way forward for yourself.
